Welcome to Day 5 of the Coil Challenge!

Today we're covering three things:

1. How to put it all together so you can Master the Back Leg Coil

2. The Step Behind Salsa Drill.

3. What's next after this.

How do you put it all together?

At this point, we worked on the three main phases of a strong back leg coil: the hip hinge, the coil, and holding the ground.

Separating these phases makes it easier to work on each one, but now we need to put it all together.

The good thing about it is that all of the phases blends right into the next, so the sequence begins right when we start the hip hinge.

Making it all one move is the most important part. We don't want to have a swing that feels like we "stop, go, stop, go".

How to do the Step Behind Salsa Drill:

Start in the back of the box, feet close together. The front foot heel should be in line with your back foot toe. We're gonna preset our posture from this position.

Slowly bring your back foot behind you so that your legs are crossed but your still balanced.

From there, swing your front foot so that it gets in line with your back foot during your forward move.

That should create the coiling move paired with holding the ground at the same time, all while you are in a good posture position like we started out in.

What's Next:

Congrats! At this point, you have the foundation for Mastering the Back Leg Coil.

However, this is only one piece of the puzzle towards building a a swing that plays at the next level, and ultimately becoming a player that can play at the next level.

That's exactly why we've created the D1 Baseball Formula.

The D1 Baseball Formula is a full system that targets your hitting mechanics, bat speed, strength, and speed - the parts of your game that college coaches and scouts look for in every player.

This is a 1-on-1 video coaching program, so we're with you every step of the way on your journey.

How will the D1 Baseball Formula turn you into a next level player?

You're going to increase your exit velocity, throwing velocity, strength, and speed.

One of our athletes, Alex, gained 8mph on his exit velo, 7mph on his throwing velo, and dropped his 60 time by .3 seconds.

How to get the D1 Baseball Formula:

It starts with a quick Consultation Call.

All we'll do on that call is understand where you are at in your game, what your goals are, and how we can best help.

This is the most important part of the process, because we need to know your individual strengths/weaknesses and goals in order to help you as best we can.

If the D1 Baseball Formula sounds like something that can help you, then click here to book a call with us.

Talk to you soon!
