Here's Your 3 BIGGEST D1 Killers
And how to fix them :)
(Read below after you watch the video!)
Congratulations! You're on your way to becoming a Division 1 baseball player!
I'm Coach Dan, one of the coaches from +PWR Training (@pluspwrtraining on social media)
You'll get one short video a day over the next 5 days to help you fix your 3 D1 Killers.
Our goal at +PWR is to use our experience at the D1 and Professional level to help you reach your goals.
Let's dive into the 3 D1 killers:
D1 Killer #1: Lack of Strength
- Problem: You aren't strong enough to compete on a Division 1 roster.
- What it Means: You can't compete against the 20-22 year-olds that fill the diamond on a college baseball field.
- How it Shows Up: You won't be able to consistently drive the ball into the gaps, throw out runners with a strong arm, or stay healthy during a 55 game college baseball season, it probably means you need to get stronger.
D1 Killer #2: No Speed
- Problem: You're too slow to make an impact at the Division 1 level
- What it Means: Your body is not able to move fast enough athletically to create the results you want.
- How it Shows Up: If you’re slow, you won't be able to steal a base when your team needs it, you can't play multiple positions, and you'll become a one dimensional player.
D1 Killer #3: Low Exit Velocity
- Problem: You don't consistently hit the ball hard
- What it Means: Your bat speed and your body's ability to rotate isn't fast enough to generate power during your swing
- How it Shows Up: You wont be able to drive the ball into the gaps, you'll be a bottom of the lineup hitter and an easy out.
